The James J. Peters VA Medical Center; which is known as Bronx Veterans Hospital is also a US Department of Veterans Affairs. NY Building Systems Consultant Inc (NYBSC) was contracted to provide Commissioning services as part of Mechanical Construction Commissioning Compliance services for this facility.
- New Air Handling Units Installation Commissioning report submission.
- Interim or Temporary Air Handling Units Installation Commissioning report submission.
- Fill out all check lists and punch lists for the purpose of Commissioning process.
The Commissioning is the process which assures the execution of any planned or designed construction project. The James J. Peters VA Medical Center has installed new Air Handling Units for the improvement of HVAC system. During the indoor Unit installation, the services were continued by interim or temporary air handling units. NYBSC did commissioning for both New indoor Units and temporary units. The Commissioning process was done by experienced and Certified Commissioning Engineers. NYBSC professionals studied the Engineering design and tested the required equipment of systems. NYBSC obtained the Commissioning check list and fulfilled all are the steps verbatim; like Air Handling units, the pipes and the valves, the duct work, controls etc. NYBSC also submitted the required reports to the authority and as per code. NYBSC identified some points to be modified and notified the constructor. After all the commissioning was done successfully.
