About the Position
NY Building Systems Consultant Inc. is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with an innovative mindset and a passion for excellence. The selected candidate will play a key role in the design and coordination of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection (MEP/FP) systems for a variety of commercial and residential projects.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 4 years of experience in commercial and residential MEP design
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks preferred
- Strong interest in building design, energy efficiency, and sustainability
- EIT or PE license preferred (not required)
Experience in the Following Areas is Required:
- MEP system design, load calculations, and mechanical component evaluation
- Preparation of detailed contract drawings using AutoCAD or Revit
- Project execution in compliance with client requirements, timelines, and standards
- Coordination with multi-disciplinary teams across all project phases
- Feasibility studies, budgeting, and cost estimation
- Ability to manage multiple projects, monitor quality, and maintain client relationships
- Energy modeling and analysis (preferred)
- Knowledge of Energy Audits and Commissioning is a plus
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support MEP design and energy reduction initiatives
- Collaborate with engineering and energy teams under the supervision of Professional Engineers (PEs)
- Develop and implement project goals, strategies, and budgets
- Prepare and present project plans and progress reports to meet timelines
- Work closely with the Energy and Commissioning teams as needed
